Michael is an entrepreneurial executive, strategic innovator and thought leader, internationally recognized for achieving early value for companies by architecting the right playbook for them to be successful in the national security and defense markets. He is internationally recognized for driving growth and achieving exceptional results for companies who are developing emerging technologies, building supply chains and critical minerals for the aerospace, defense and national security markets. Over his extensive career, he has driven corporate success by securing significant undiluted capital and leading high-performing teams to develop innovative, state-of-the-art technologies at speed and scale. While serving in the Pentagon as a Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Defense at the ISR Task Force, he deployed over $12B of U.S. investments to enable the rapid development and deployment of new, emerging technologies to support global U.S. military operations. This experience, combined with his military operations background and proven leadership as a corporate executive, allows him to guide tech companies and investment firms through the execution of strategies which successfully overcomes the competitive, bureaucratic U.S. government ecosystem, to quickly secure funding and achieve sustainable revenue streams.
Michael has held various executive leadership and advisory positions including as the Director of the Engineering, Test & Evaluation Division at Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC), senior advisor for the Secretary of Defense, Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence, U.S. Strategic Command, Defense Intelligence Agency, and Joint Forces Command. Michael started his career in the U.S. Air Force as an operator on an intelligence aircraft where he participated in numerous combat tours in support of the Global War on Terrorism.
